The project....

Will cover a recent job that I have completed for Brighouse Pride - a local civic group whose aim is to promote and raise the profile of Brighouse as a shopping centre, business venue and town centre.

In early September 2008, I was approached by Pride member Sue Heginbottom, of Artisan Fireplaces, to help in the design and production of a calendar for 2009.

The calendar was to feature paintings created by the children of Bailiffe Bridge Junior and Infants School.

Previous years' calendars were A4 sized, with 13 single sided pages - 12 months and 1 cover page. I was asked to look into other sizes and styles of presenting the calendars and to prepare some costs for printing 2000 calendars.

Welcome to PDP6 Personal Project...

As usual, my problem is always with deciding what to do for the various modules.

I thought about several things for PDP6 Personal Project (what a clumsy title!); the one that I was originally keen to do was a redesign of the Bradford City fanzine, "The City Gent". This is a publication that has been going for over 21 years and has received awards for its content and design.

Whilst, I have a strong commitment to Bradford City, I decided against doing this for my project as I had previously completed 2 projects with page layouts as their main theme - the Playboy (Graphic Design In Context) and Bible (Creative Graphic Design) projects.
